Kingsnake in the toilet

fisherk2 May 16, 2007 11:37 AM

You know the little holes under the rim of your toilet that shoot water into the bowl when you flush? I just found my juvie kingsnake crawling into one. There is no way for me to reach him unless I smash my toilet to pieces. How do I get him out? I put a dish with some bedding and a hide above the water level, and I de-thawed a fuzzy hoping the smell will draw him out. That is the only idea I can come up with. Is there any sort of smell or chemical snakes hate that will force him out somehow? I really want to catch him before he gets hurt or moves on to a different part of the house.

Thanks for your help!

I know that snakes really dislike the smell of alcohol (hold it under their nose if they're biting you and they let go)... so there might be some way you could use that to trick him out, but I'm not exactly sure how you would go about doing it...

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
