What to feed the Tadpoles?

hcpbill May 26, 2007 10:32 PM

Hi
We found some Chorus Frog eggs and brought a few home and they hatched in just couple of days. The tadpoles are really tiny. Any suggestions on what they should be fed will be appreciated. I used boiled spinach for Leopard and Bull frog tadpoles and they seemed to love it. These little guys don't seem to go for the spinach like the bigger species.
Thanks
Bill

Try chopping the spinach into REALLY tiny pieces or else feed crumbled aquarium fish flake food. They may also nibble at algae.

anything that you would feed fish, esp. catfish. flake food, algea wafers, spironella (sp. ?), bloodworms, fruit flies, dead plants, algae, dead bugs (crix work good if you mush them up a little), and i wouldn't feed spinish because spinish makes it harder for them to digest calcium which can result in bone deformities, but little chopped up pieces of romaine or greens would work i guess. i think they would like the other stuff better though, good luck!
