Hi,

just a L. zonata pulchra pic.

I think, zonatas are the most underrated snakes in the genus of Lampropeltis. I wonder why they are so rare.
Does anybody know of any color or pattern morphs?

Just for clarification...I think you mean rare in private collections. They're certainly not rare in the wild.

Yes, you are right. I know they are protected in some states and there has been the zonata disease. But I hate to say that most collections lost it's diversity since they all jumped on the Ball Morph Money Tree. That's sad cause nothing shines that bright then a nice Mountain King Snake. I wonder, what happened to the old guy's snakes. There must have been a lot of breeders of them.
