chuck911jeep May 28, 2007 05:55 PM

Hi!
I ordered a bunch of those couple month ago and they finally arrive. All young specimen, healthy and most of them already ate. Carinatus was also suppose to be here but my exporter said me they will be in the next order.
Enjoy and sorry for the pics quality.
Justin

Wow! Finally some nice Ptyas in the U.S. I hope you get the carinatus smoothly. Are you planning on breeding them?

Justin, looks like they let me back on. I cannot believe you got Ptyas. They look like Taipan. Awesome! More Pics anytime. They defiantly have a racer look. Do they have smooth scales or keeled?…..Bill

Hi Bill!
Good to see you back. They are all young and have smooth scales. I lost 3 on the lot but all the other ones seem to go fine and are slowly start eating. I been biting a few time.... Can't wait to see them full grown. I will post you more pics soon since you like them!
Take care

Nice snakes.

Good luck with them, from what I gather they are prone to sudden death syndrome. Where they seem to be doing ok then just keel over. I had 2 come in, both in ok shape, female didn't feed and lasted a week, the male was feeding great then died around a month later, I had wormed them both and couldn't see an infestation inside when I cut the male open.

Good luck again though, they were cool snakes.

Hi Mike!
Sorry about your loss. Did they was big?
I don't give any medication for any new snakes until it feed well and rehydrate, usually 2-3 month. It seem to work better for me. Every new imported i dewormed died... Maby coincidence but since i stop this technique, i loose much less new snakes
Take care!
Justin
