Is this normal behavior?

I have one that likes to dig into the substrate and crawl into the hole and remains there for several hours.

I have another one where she likes to swim and sit in the water dish for hours.

Digging is common with gravid females.
The one that hits the water dish - check the folds of her skin for mites and/or ticks.
