I have 12 black racer eggs that were laid last night. I put them in an incubator at around 90 F last night, but I found out it is illegal to sell them where I live. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do with them. I dont want 12 baby racers. Them mom is mean enough.

Thats a crappy solution. They are great snakes, I just can't handle 12. I actually plan on keeping 1 for myself. I know they wont fetch much, but maybe I can sell them at a herp show in another state, or give them away for all I care. Does anyone know what states, if any, would allow me to sell them without a permit or people to own on without a permit?

You may be able to use them for trade. Also, if black racers are native to where you live, why not just turn the babies loose?

Check around for local nature centers. They may be interested in incubating the eggs on display for kids to see. Our local nature center did a contest for kids to guess what kind of snake eggs they were and when they would hatch. The hatchlings were released on the nature center grounds.

probably a moot situation as you might have killed the eggs with the high heat... they should be in the low 80's for the incubator.

Anyway, your emps sound a bit high for incubation...
you don't want to hatch out deformed snakes... Stick to around 80-84F
Hatch them out and give them away.??
