I just purchased a pair of blue racers, and it seems the only thing they like to eat is frogs. Is this common of blue racers?

No. Racers eat a wide variety of food items. Babies have eaten insects for me. Adults seemed to prefer other snakes. You might want to try fuzzy mice or rats, depending on the size of the snakes. Using rodents will reduce the chance of the snake getting parasitized by its food.

Mine always ate fuzzies for me, the trick to it is to leave them alone when you feed them. Don't watch them. Drop the food in there, and leave the room, for at least a day.

Thats cool. Soon you'll be able to throw f/t and they'll gobble them up right in front of you. I have one that takes "only" mice f/t-live-or fresh killed, and the other for the moment eats live rat babys thru live rat weans but won't eat mice. Soon I hope to have the 2nd one on f/t as well. Time and patience is what I use.Oh I skipped the scenting on the 2nd one and ujust waited 2-3 weekls till she was hungry. Peace man Greg
