hello, i'm in colorado just south of Denver. my brother caught this lizard yesterday for me and i just wanted a forsure ID. i think it's a western fence lizard but any input would be great.

The only Sceloporus that occurs in the Denver area is the Red-lipped Plateau Lizard. Only place I ever ran into them was Castlewood Canyon State Park and Chatfield State Park. That's your lizard.

thanks for the confirmation. i did a little more research after the post i left here and that is what i started to think it was. and to your locations my back property line is castlewood canyon state park. so i'm going to have to definitly go with the id. thanks again. here are some other pics from the backyard.
