He is probably eating when you are not looking. They are very shy and will not eat if they know they are being watched. I have never seen mine eat, but I know she's been eating a lot because she pooped a lot. She just does it when I'm not looking...usually at night when everybody is asleep. Try checking for poop if you are worried. I leave a lot of crickets in tank for her, though, so she can get plenty of food. I also leave some food for the crickets like tropical fish flakes, chick mash, or crushed dog food. This way the crickets will stay nice and fat and they won't bother my tokay.
Where did you find him? Outside? When did you put him in the cage? If he just got put in there and you tried feeding him he is probably stressed the hell out and you should back off of trying for a week or so because to many crickets and when they run on them stresses them out more. If a tokay is shy it means it is unhappy with its caging. Provide more hiding spots and lots of plants fake or real. Mine eat pinkys mice right in front of me like I wasnt even there so yes they will eat with you watching. I feed mine about 3 times week and I feed my pair about 24-30 to split so most of them are ate by morning. Do you provide heat for them and what is the humidity? Get back about my questions it might help a little more.
