Tokays do not NEED UV. You can put UV on them but its not a big deal unless you have live plants in the tank. I use a heat lamp and UV lights but I use live plants in my tanks too.

I do think they LIKe UVB...mine will bask under 20 watt UV B spiral bulbs...but many of mine do not have one and do fine.
