My female Z. situla laid three apparently good eggs for me last weekend. This represents my first success with this species. I am incubating them as I would American Rat Snakes. Was wondering who else might be working with these animals?

Hey Rick, I have a gravid female myself thats about to drop any day. I gather they lay small clutches in general but lay big eggs for their size. They are a really cool species. Randy W.

Randy, good luck with your female and the future clutch. The eggs were surprisingly large and elogate for a snake about 27 inches long. They are a little over 2.5 inches in length. I agree they are a great species. I'm surprised there is not more interest in these snakes.
