Feeding and Cleaning

I've read that mature turtles should be fed only 3 times a week. I feed my turtle about 2 times a day. She is only 6 months old, but when do you start to feed them less? Also, is there anything you can put in the tank to keep algae from forming?

Put a copper penny in the tank. Go to Turtletails.com, and look at all his pictures. They are beautiful. He tells you about the copper penny in the tank. He will also answer any questions you have. It is a great site.
