Feeding an ACF pinkie mice??

T1tanrush Jun 25, 2007 11:44 PM

My large female gobbles down crickets, flies, worms, large goldfish, minnows (8 a day if I fed them to her as a sole food), 20 reptile pellets, my fingers... Wondering if she can pass pinkies or not? I know she can easily eat 3 or 4 or 5.. but I was wondering if its too much to pass ?
Thanks ;*)

I definitely would not feed her all that stuff as much as you are doing now. She might become obese which brings along a whole set of problems. I fed my huge female a dead pinky mouse the other day and she loved it. If you are going to feed mice I would probably say give one once a week, or every other week. I'm going by my feeding schedule I have for my pacman toad. He eats an adult mouse every other week, and he has been on this every other week schedule for over a year now and is doing great. The ACF seems ALOT more active than the pacman toad, so I'm going to try an every week schedule with mine. Also, I just got mine a few days ago, I have a couple minnows and goldfish with her and she has attempted eating them, but never successfully and she doesn't seem to "hunt" them. Does yours?
