Of course we can see you! A small tiger rattlesnake....

He wasn't pleased with us at all...

He's not a happy camper...

Very pretty. Are tigers legal to collect? I rarly ever see them for sale.
Thanks
Blaze Garrett
Yes, tigers are legal to collect with a valid Az G&F hunting permit...bag limit is 4 in possession...
The reason you never see these guys for sale is because the vast majority of their range in the US lies within Az borders, and Az prohibits the commercialization of its native wildlife...This applies to ANY animals that can be traced back to origins within Az (to include animals captured in Az and legally exported out of state). This even includes the progeny of captive bred animals, so long as the animals' lineage can be traced to Az...Legally, NO animal can be exported out of Az and sold at a later time...ditto for breeding animals caught in Az and exported..their progeny cannot be sold legally either...
But you can collect tigers and legally export them, so long as they are not sold, bartered, traded, etc...(and you are within bag limits).

I can kind of understand no exporting wild caught animals out of the state but not the law saying you can't sell or trade the CB babies you produce with that animal. Oh well I geuss thats life.
Az law states that you CAN export legally collected reptiles out of state....as long as you are within bag limits and the animals were collected legally (i.e. not in a protected area), then it is legal to export them.
However, the state of Az considers all of it's native reptiles to be state property. Even if you collected a tiger rattlesnake and left the state with it, that snake would still be state property. Therefore, any animals produced from the animal that was collected would also be state property...This is how Az views it's wildlife, and how it justifies the prohibition on commerce regarding them.

Ahh... Sorry I misunderstood
Thanks for the clarification.
