What kind of turtle is this? Location is El Dorado California. Could it be an Ouachita Map Turtle? It was swimming along with a Red ear Slider.

Yes, good call, it is an Ouachita Map Turtle. They, like Sliders, False Maps, Mississippi Maps, and Cooters are bred by the thousands for the pet trade and have the potential to turn up anywhere, as you have found!
