Morph and Hybrid Question

vanstorm Jul 10, 2007 08:10 PM

I was wondering if anyone has ever bred a albino cranwell with a cornuta to create a fantasy with an albino recessive gene?

Also wondering if anyone has bred a cornuta and an ornate?

I do not have any frogs ( only turtles ) but thinking of possibly getting some in the future.

Cornuta x Ornata has been done...

An albino recessive trait is useless for a fantasy frog as they are sterile as far as I know.

Wow so all of the fantasy frogs are sterile?

Another question - Is there a size difference between the different subspecies?

rotarymagic Jul 13, 2007 06:25 PM

Yes there's a size difference, but unfortunately the giant brazilian horned frog is not available in the trade currently. Females are supposed to reach up to 9 inches. My male suriname horned frog is larger than my palm.
