I need to get some better pics of it eventually. But this is the only true "small terrestrial snake" in my collection. And it feeds like a kingsnake.

About 20" long...

Took me only a couple feedings of anole-scented pinkies and I got her on unscented.

Is this the same Glossy that you've shown pics of before? Good looking Glossy. It looks like an AZ or NM locale.

Yeah, same snake. It's from TX.
But I assume none of them really look different.

I'm itching to get involved with the albinos.

I've seen big TX ssp that are darker (brown base color & pinkish blotched pattern) than most of the ones we have here in CA. The Desert Glossies from the desert region of San Diego county are pretty light. Jeff Lemm over on FHF found and albino earlier this year. The pics of that thing are awesome. I know AZ's got some beautiful Glossies (ssp. noctiva & philipi?) too. Right now, I've got a pair of what appear to be Mojave Glossy females (unprobed). One is an '06 hatch downing 2 live pinks a feeding session and the other is a 3 footer (unknown age) downing 3 live hoppers @ chow time. My small one is still small enough to pop, so I oughta go ahead an do that. Keep me posted on how your projects go.

I've talked with Don Shores about the albinos a couple times.
Between him and his partner there are 1.1 albinos and 3.5 hets.
It's looking like next time eggs hatch I'll probably be getting some hets in hopes I could get them to eat.

Cool, Mike. Good luck w/ them. Definitely keep me posted. Do the TX ssp Glossies have a rep for being difficult to convert to mice? Where are you located? I asked because I'm surprised you never got into Glossies from here in CA. I've had success getting every one I've taken a chance on to eat rodents. Jeff Lemm over @ FHF cruised an albino Desert Glossy, and one day either Metalpest, Jasonmc or I will come across an albino Mojave Glossy... I can feel it.
