Need Mudsnake Help!

thurockk Jul 16, 2007 06:00 PM

Hi guys,
Haven't posted in a looooong time. Just picked up an AOR mudsnake that expired shortly after I picked her up. She had a prolapsed cloaca with two eggs hanging out. I cut 39 good eggs out of her and need to know incubation temps and medium for this species. Over the years I have seen a few guys incubate this species so if you have experience please drop some knowledge on me.

Thanks

I hatched some of these as a kid just by placing the eggs in moist pottig soil in a plastic box with clear plastic wrap on top. I kept the box on top of the fridge where it was slightly warmer. About 78-80 degrees, I guess.

never hatced any farancia eggs myself but you can't go wrong with about what the last guy said...farancia are known to crawl ashore, and up,into dryer ground to lay,so i'd treat them just the same as any colubrid eggs, maybe keep them between upper 70's to low 80's.keep us posted!
