My New Set Up!!! - [Pictures]

Jah Jul 16, 2007 09:02 PM

Ok... I switched from grass to Coconut Fiber.. My lizards are starting to like it, but still trying to get used to it. I also saw one them already digging, one of the reasons why I switched to Coconut Fiber. After taking the time setting this up, I find it a lot better than my old set up. Hope you like it... it's nothing fancy/special though.

That looks really good. Only thing I might suggest that you use a lower water dish. I am not sure if they are smart enough to climb that high and drink water.

Your right... but I have seen some drink the water... but I didn't see all of them drink. I only know the smallest of them might not have... so I'll change it.

You should use the coconut fiber to fill the gap around the water dish so that they can crawl up to it.

I dug more Coconut Fiber on the bottom and filled the gap... the dish isn't that big but now its closer to the ground. It should be a lot easier for them now. Check it out...

I leave a plastic fork in the water dish so the crickets can crawl out if they get stuck in there.

But good job and that is the way how it should be for them to have easier access to the water dish.

Crickets are alive and the carton just came with it when I buy it at petco so that they have a place to hide. Otherwise, if you buy too many, the lizards will bite them to death for the heck of it but will not eat them.

BTW...You got a weird email address.

Oh... I didn't know it comes with it.... because I buy my crickets close by house. They come in one of those small fish bags and it's filled with air. For $3 I get about 20-30 crickets.

oh and my email... I made it to go with my name here Jah.

Yes, Petco gave us the carton so that they can hide and chew on the carton instead of each other.

Also, just a friendly suggestion and I don't want to make a big deal out of it. I won't mention your email name but I think it is best that you choose something that is more appropriate to represent yourself. You can give people the wrong idea with that email name because I am totally against supporting violence, especially after that stupid Virgina Tech crap. Just my 2 cent.
