Crayfish snake

markpyle Jul 17, 2007 11:01 PM

I have been keeping a Graham's Crayfish Snake for about 2 months. I was worried about getting it to eat. Well I did not have to worry long. It is eating every freshly molted crayfish I have offered it. It even bit my hand trying to get a crayfish that I was offering it. It has been eating 5 or 6 large crayfish a week. It is one of the best eating snakes I have. I have heard they do not do well long term in captivity. What types of problems have you have and how did you fix them?
Thanks
Mark Pyle

i wouldn't worry so long as you have an ample supply of freshly molted crayfish
