What a nice artice!

Did you see the list of inhabitants?!?

Rough Green Snake, Grass Lizards, Day Geckos, Pygmy Chameleons, Dart Frogs (10 different species!), 11 different types of fish, Grass Shrimp, Cone Snails and a Praying Mantis, just to be brief... lol

Very interesting!

The tank is somewhere between 220-280 gallons and the setup very impressive...

Go on, read it!

However nice the vivarium may seem now, mixing all of those species, plus 10 species of darts together like that is irresponsible and uninformed. Please don't be impressed with this kind of showcase ignorance, or attempt to emulate it.

I usually try to be open minded about the mixing issue, but this is over the top irresponsible.

I understand what you mean and i'm sure they just did it for the initial wow factor.. besides, how practical is it to setup something that size?!

They did mention how some were 'swapped' out or replaced over time, they didn't mention why... i'm sure there were devastating consequences, in many cases.

I'm going to post pics of the new setup I just finished... would love to know what you think!

I suspect "swapped out" meant replacing the dead, at least as far as the dart frogs were concerned. I'm really relieved that you never actually considered going that route.
