What is This Cali Pattern/Morph??

mheidka Jul 23, 2007 10:47 AM

This guy hatched out yesterday and his pattern, or rather lack of, has me perplexed. I've seen very high whites before, but they have always had a black dorsal stripe on their tail. Plus, this one looks more pink, than white.

Dam is a dotted high white and Sire is a 70/30 Banded out of Steve Osborne stock. As far as I know, there is no albino or lavender genes in these animals.

Your opinions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Maria

I just checked out your recent picture of the baby too... That is a BEAUTIFUL animal. So everyone else can see too, here are the pictures on your website: (Just to be clear, I am NOT saying these are my pictures at all, the photo credit is on the picture itself.)

I don't blame you a bit for keeping that one "not for sale" ^_^ It would be awesome to get a line of all-whites going. :D

Thanks Holly,

I posted this a while ago...maybe 8 months ago... but he still looks rather similar. he's growing fast, but is still a creamy white with no black on him except for his head (and the tip of his tail). I high hopes for this little guy for what he may be able to produce.
