She finally ate three bites of cantelope!!!! Ok this is not much but it is the first time in a LONG time she has opened her mouth to eat anything. I hope this means we are about outa the dark with her. Thanks to all for the input and for just letting me vent some frustration. I'll post again as she progresses (unless your sick of hearing about her by now!.)

I was having trouble with my baby I took it to the vet and she highly reccomended this food for tortoises it is made by pretty bird and you soak it. My little guy finally has started to gain weight, I have had him 6 months and he had gained no weight at all, he has in the past month gained12 grams, he was eating grasses a little. My guy also has a jaw problem and was having trouble with the grasses. He runs to his bowl when I put the food in. It is worth a try. My vet has 6 of these guys and feeds this to all of them and they are in beautiful shape.

Good for you!!
You know I heard so much about the Mazuri and I recently purchased a 2 year old from a gentleman who had a ton of beautiful healthy torts and he swears by Mazuri, along with hay, grasses, weeds, clovers, etc..so anyhow--I purchased some Mazuri and my 4 year old would never touch anything else that I tried and he loves Mazuri!! My 1 year old Marginated is also a picky eater and loves Mazuri.
So basically I feed a few Mazuri pellets to my 4 year old 1 a week and I supplement with Calcium and Vitamins. My 1 year old Marginated and 2 year old Sulcata get it twice a week--along with free access to grass, hay, weeds, plants etc.

All I can say is Mazuri is a winner with all 3 of mine. I also picked up a small bag of Sulcata Gold, I found it on a Sulcata website and I tried it for the first time yesterday--they also really enjoyed it. I like the Mazuri because it soaks in no time at tall..just a few sprays from a water bottle and your good to know within 30 seconds.

I also have the mazuri, but my little one really loves this pretty bird stuff, It also soaks in water but It is colored , red, yellow , orange, green. When I put the bowl in with it in there he runs from were ever he is at. I personally feed it to mine every day, he also has grasses but due to his jaw problem he has alot of trouble with the grasses.

It does smell good. LOL they make tort food designed for large torts. Al I know is mine after 6 months as now gained some weight, i had him for 6 months no wight gain at all. He gained 10 grams in a week and is has that heavy feel when i pick him up. Later today I will post a pic of his jaw problem, the vet is really concerned but As long as he can eat and grow I think he will be ok.
