Sexing Neonates

Yes this question again. My question is how young can you detect spurs or the "BBs". I am going to Daytona and I want to do my best to get a male neonate. Thanks

when you get there look at a bunch, the spurs on little males can be hard to find if you dont know what your looking for and often have a clear apearance making them more difficult to see, but once you as oposed to a couple females youll be good to go

Males have two spurs alongside their vents, females in this species do not. I don't have any pictures of baby dums spurs but I have a couple pics of what to look for in adults here:
