Is this light ok?

e&t Jul 31, 2007 05:01 PM

Ok, as some of you know, I am working on setting up a 29 gallon tank for a group of 3 leucs. I have pretty much everything I need, and today I got a light. It was going to be a fish tank light, but I had to choose between the fish tank and my drums. The fish tank is now in my storage building. The light is a 30 inch fluorescent light that I got with a 29 gallon freshwater kit. The frog tank will only have frogs, driftwood, and a few bromeliads. Will this light be ok for them?

It should be fine. That is the one that I used for my tanks, and the plants grew and grew and grew.....

There are bulbs that will work well - the "LifeGlo" bulbs are great - 6700K Spectrum High Output. Available in most pet stores.

Anything between 4500K and 7000K will look good and work well.
