Cricket control

fsuapollo39 Aug 01, 2007 06:40 PM

I am trying to build or buy a tank depending on what is cheaper becasue my crickets seemt o escape my current tank. I was wondering if the tanks with the sliding doors are effective at keeping crickets in the tank. I know that the bottom quarter of the side of the tank is solid so I am thinking that the crickets wont be able to jump that high. But I am worried that they will be able to creap out inbetween the two panes of glass. Any help on the issue would be appreciated.

All the sliding door styles that I've seen would definitely allow for cricket escape.

I use rubbermaid tubs. Cut a section out of the lid and hot glue some screening over it for ventilation. No more escapes. Don't use fiberglass window screen, though, or they'll chew right through it.
