Found this guy today while mowing the lawn-been very wet down here in the Texas Hill Country, and we are overrun with toads-but this is the first hypo I've seen. I'm calling it a hypo rather than an amel, because even though the eye is red, there is some color in it....

Very cool. Bufo toads were what got me back into herping. I've always wanted a pair of Bufo valliceps.
