Nice baby, but that's not a new born photo.
Cool there's extra scutes too. I have one baby with 6 on one side, 3 on the other. Making the number 63: Herbie is his name.

Hi Buslady !
Actually it is a new born photo! She was only out of her shell for about 2 minutes when I took that photo! She's spectacular !!!
As for hibernating a CA ornate wood turtle - I don't!!!! They are tropical and don't hibernate!

I should have added if you look closely at the photo you will see bits and pieces of her shell!
