I'd suggest getting more mileage out of checking out the forecast and selecting a day that is generally fair-weathered. The Pine Barrens warms up very quickly, especially if you're flipping (and that's not any kind of college-kid term). Large tins, blankets, roofing shingles, etc get hot QUICKLY and all the critters go under. However, if ya want to go for a couple of morning hours it's on you, but just don't expect much on a weekend like the one coming up. Furthermore, I don't lose sleep over anything unless in anticipation of a long day of herping or a fine college woman (brunettes preferably )

...I go to Florida the following week, and when I get back I gotta get ready for school.

PS-flipping IS another college term....if you know anything about those crazy parties lol.

the college parties take precedence (?). But keep in touch and next year we can HOOK UP (ha!) Florida has alot to offer anyway -- it's not like you're mid-Iowa or something.

...i don't even know who you are lol. I was talking to some other herpers, and one guy said racers are one of few snakes that will be out in the middle of a really hot day. Hopefully he's right!

Anything out there Mr. Heatwave? Hopefully more than just heat stroke. LOL. Seriously, it was a scorcher this week end. Did you go?

....I'm going sometime this week. I was talking to other herpers and they were saying racers are one of the few snakes that'd be out in hot weather....so don't go saying that I'll wind up fruitless.
