I just bought a Kenyan Sand Boa from a girl in Michigan. I was hoping to be able to get the snake this week, and I have Wednesday and Friday off that I can stay home for shipments. It will be shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight. She can't ship tomorrow, so that leaves shipping on Thursday and receiving Friday. Does anyone ship on Thursdays or do most people wait?

Wait until next week. I realize you are anxiously waiting for its arrival but as Murphy said, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and at the worst possible moment. Shipping delays are all too frequent and you do not want the delay to occur over the weekend.

I'm actually leaning towards using the "hold at location" option.
She can ship on Wednesday, Thurs. arrival. I have to work at 6 am, but could pick the snake up around 10-11 from the FedEx place. Is that acceptable? Or, do I really need it on a day off so I can rush down there right away? This is a Kinkos so it is climate controlled and it would get there around 9-1030. That would give Friday and Saturday if there was any delay. I know they call me as soon as the package arrives. What do you guys think?
