Hi my name is Missi I am the mother of 6 wonderful kids..And well they were given a southern Painted turtle and we are tryign to learn all we can so we do it right..From what i knwo he is at least a couple of years old..I havent been able to find much good info on them or raising them. Any help will be appreciated..It is important to me that the animal get st he proper care it deserves to be happy and healthy..Oh and BTW can they live happily alone or should we get him a friend??

In response to your question all you have to do is google search Painted Turtle Care Sheet. One of the top five that come up should have everything you need to know. I suggest you find two care sheets and compare the two and use your best common knowledge and go with that. This site might have a care sheet as well. As far as a friend goes for your little buddy. Thats up to you. I always prefer pairs... Hope that helps ;} Jc
