I was ordering a bunch of lights and from the net and found that a 60 watt light bulb is acceptable for basking as long as I have a uvb bulb as well. I have to painted and to flordia stinkpots. Is the caresheet correct?

I've never used a uvb light with my musk tutles and I have a pair that hatched last July and are now over 3 inches with just an ordinary fluorescent bulb above the tank.

I have used both together and then each type (UVB and incandescent)by itself for mud turtles. Frankly, I can't tell the difference.
But for the painteds I would add the UVB for sure. In fact, I still use UVB for all of my turtles--just in case they do help them with their overall health.
