does anyone know if it is legal to have a venimoid (don't know if I spelled that right) snake in florida without a permit or do you need one even though it's a venimoid?

Please take this to the Venomoid Sub-Forum.

Thanks!

Yes, you need a permit. You should refer to the venomOID forum for these types of questions. However, they will more than likely give you a different answer.

Yes, this question does belong in the "venomoid subforum", but I'll answer it anyway...

Surgical procedures do nothing to affect a snake's legal standing as far as the State is concerned...If the snake was venomous at any point in it's life, then a permit is required...no exceptions.

I suppose the rationale here is that if you bred two venomoid snakes together, the young would be "fully loaded"...and seen from that perspective, it makes total sense.

Ok...no more venomoid related answers from me...
