cleaning anole aquarium

kimmi36 Aug 21, 2007 02:14 PM

I have "inherited" an aquarium with an anole and a day gecko (so I've been told) and the sides of the aquarium are filthy. How do I catch the lizards and how do I clean the cage? It has bark on the bottom, a few silk plants and some logs. It all needs a good scrub. Thanks.

It may not be acceptable but I clean all my aquariums with hot water and a mild dish washing detergent.

I have never had any problems in mold, bacteria or mites appearing.
