How much do I feed them

Clauzilla Aug 22, 2007 07:17 PM

Ok, so now I have the tadpoles that turned into frogs and I have them lioving in a terrium I made them. I am feeding them wingless fruit flies, and I tried crickets but them were too big.
How many fruitflies do they need to eat every night?
I don't want to overfeed but I don't want to starve them either.
Right now I just take whatver has hatched and shake them in, sometimes there are 20-30 between about 15 froglets.

I'd think unless they were super tiny froglets that you could use pinhead crickets. They will be power eating at that age. So FFs won't do alot.

A good gauge of the size food they can eat is the size of the distance between their eyes, or just a bit bigger.

it depends, but i would feed about 60 flies, if at all possible feed like 30 times 3 times a day.
