Coxi Breeding info PLEASE

stonedsnake Aug 27, 2007 01:14 PM

Hello all.

I have been searching the net up and down and asking on different forums for weeks now and still no luck.

I'm looking for information on breeding Oreocryptophis porphyraceus coxi.

I have 1.1 red mountain racers and I would like to know what age/length/weight is best to start breeding them at?

How long should I cool them for before breeding and what temps at?

How long do I let them breed for?

Any other breeding information would really be appreciated.

Hope someone can help or I'm gonna jump off a building :D

thanks

they don't breed any differently than any other colubrid. well kept animals should be ready at 2 years of age, eating hopper mice or larger.

cool in December for about 3 months, down to 55F. warm back up, and start pairing up. watch the shed cycles for cues.

They also like a cooler, more humid environment than many other species, such as the Mandarins, etc....
