I just had a question about sonoran muds. What is the ideal set up for them? What is the ideal diet for them, how long after being captured does it take for them to usually eat, and what should i feed them? If someone can answer this that would be great. Thanks

I don't have a sonoran mud but having several kinosternonide species I feed them pellets mostly but if it is wild caught it may take awhile for them to reconize this food item. Try fish, worms, crickets. once they start eating they keep eating.

I have a male that I was given as a hatchling a couple years back and it would not take any pellets at first. I started it with frozen bloodworms and earthworms that I choped up, then I started soaking the pellets in the worm juice. After doing that for a while I offered him just the pellets and have had no problem with pellet food sense. Is your male or female?
