A ? for the Experienced Dum Breeders...

Locolizard Sep 11, 2007 03:24 PM

I recently had my first litter of dumerils and had a very different looking one in the litter and I was curious if anyone has ever seen a Dumeril with this coloration?
Thanks for any help in advance! And yes before you ask, it is slightly a runt and had some cord when born but has since fallen off, and it has shed fine and is looking great and healthy although slightly smaller than its siblings. And he is the only one out of 17, no slugs or stills all healthy babies, with this color.

Cheers,
Mark Miller

I have one that is 5 years old. He produced 2 stillborn babies just like him last year. I believe it is hereditary but no live ones yet to prove it.

I would hold him back and if he is still a knock out as an adult, try to prove him out. He is a neat little guy, but dumerils do dull out a lot as adults, so it doesn't mean a whole lot until he matures (IMO)

Good luck!
