Please Info on sexing Candoia aspera

JohnEx Sep 19, 2007 04:33 AM

Hello all,

I have read the various posts regarding candoia aspera sexing. However I have read contradicting posts on the presence of spurs in both males and females of the species.

Could you please clarify if there are cases of males without spurs and females with them ??

Is probing a safest method ?

Regards
John Exarhou

in most species, the females have no spurs, im not so good on the scientific names, but ive cared for vipers and solomn islands, and its true for both of those, and i dont know of any difference for any of the other species, so id have to guess thats the best bet. it is 100 percent in the 2 species i said though.
