albino Woodhouse toad feeding response

rana888 Sep 20, 2007 09:19 PM

I have two albino woodhouse toads. They are a bit bigger than a quarter. I have noticed that it is very difficult for them to successfully catch crickets. They attempt to catch them, but they seem unable to judge the distance of the cricket and miss frequently enough for me to worry about them getting proper nutrition. Could anyone give me a tip. Thanks, Steve

bufo species miss a lot. you could try feeding them mealworms, they arn't as fast. or you could put the crix in the fridge for a little while to slow them down. good luck!
