i just ordered my first cane toad! i am soooooooooo exited. but i have one question, can they stay in room temp or do i need a heat lamp?

i just ordered my first cane toad! i am soooooooooo exited. but i have one question, can they stay in room temp or do i need a heat lamp?
We've kept ours at room temp for years without any problems. But then again, our "room temperature" is about 78-80 in the room he is in.

what size tank would you put a small cane toad in?
I used to keep several cane and Rococco toads in a large 55 gallon aquarium with a heat lamp on one end. They used the entire space. Hide boxes are a must, also plenty of substrate for burrowing. I found cane toads much harder to tame down than Rococco or American toads, and mine never got used to handling. A locking screen lid is a must too--they are escape artists.
