hey, like the picture!!
I have 2 YBS myself but as they come from the same family their living situations are pretty simular! The basics are: a big aquarium, water heater, filter(s), basking spot and light (UVA and UVB), and an long tube of UV light to go across the top of the tank and of course food for your newly acquired friends.

red ears get huge. best in ponds as adults.
when you fine in tanks...but you need lots of stuff, uvb lights, hoods, tank, stand, filter, heater, all sorts of stuff. and dont breed.

Define "some". Sliders get big. Assume roughly 10 gallons per inch of turtle. So, a 7" slider (some males grow to 7", most females get bigger than that) will need a 75 gallon tank, at least.

Also consider adoption, if you're sure a slider is right for you. There are lots of rescue groups out there, and hundreds of sliders needing new homes.
