Determining sex?

Serpents_Touch Sep 28, 2007 09:45 AM

How can you determine the sex of an american Green Anoles, without catching them in the act? I have dozens around my apartment, and was thinking of catching/breeding for feeding purposes(no offense).

Males have HUGE heads compared to females. Females (and juviniles) tend to have a whitish stripe down their backs. Males are bigger overall.

You should be able to see the huge head of the male in the first picture and the stripe of the female in the second.
