White patches are probably nothing if it's a hatchling. Perhaps its scutes are just peeling off. Nonetheless, it could be mild shell rot or a symptom of soft shell. Your only alternatives are this:
Get it a basking spot with a sunlamp, making sure it gets out of the water for as long as it wants, or at least 6-12 hours a day. Get it a heater too, with temps between 75-80 degrees. Keep an eye on its diet and feed it ReptoMin often. If it begins to float, something serious is wrong and take it to a vet or medicate it yourself by asking for advice here.
If it's not eating try some raw beef, raw fish too. Main thing is, watch out for small and loose gravel, as this is the number one cause of death with hatchlings. Rocks slide and they drown.
Much more is to be said so let us know how it's doing and get back to us. Most importantly for hatchlings, however, is their water temp and that basking light.
Thanks for the info. 2 days ago I bought that basking lamp. and without a heater it stays at 78-80 degrees so thats a plus.I don't know much but my turtles belly (bottom of the Shell) is solf. I wasn't sure but it was a thought that my brother brouht up.
thanks again...
