That was a fat Anole, too small to pregnant? The snake was chewing on the hind quarters when I got there and it wasn't struggling, then the snake let go and slowly repositioned itself at the head. Is the Ringneck saliva venomous? Since both snakes ate (big), they'll be good for a week?

Just by that pic I can tell you the snakes are gonna be good for probably 2 weeks...
Just leave them alone and don't worry about them for a little while.
The southern ringnecks do have an interesting venom. The last group of southerns I had I was trying to work on how strong their venom actually is, it was almost impossible to determine how strong it was against the fish they ate, worms received no effects... Anoles/snakes would die in some time after a bite with chewing, with saliva evident.
I also lost one of the southern ringnecks over a fight for food, one of them bit another, the bitten one was found dead the next day.

this link discusses the question of venom in ring-necked snakes pretty well. It's the website of one of the guys who posts on this board quite a bit though at the moment I can't recall what his login name here is...

Ah, this looks like an inside joke. I did remove the Brown for that reason (venom). Just leave the snails in with the Brown? I've had it for 1 yr., only fed worms.

If the Ringnecks are fed a week apart, not at the same time, there shouldn't be a fight for food. Feeding only worms appears to leave them a little hungry. I didn't notice if the Anole was still breathing.

I posted these pics in the photo gallery. How did the it position the fish?

Inquiring minds want to know.............
