Has anyone been following this comic - "Baby Blues" ? They have had a story line about the kids getting a slider turtle. They have called them an amphibian twice, basically said that keeping a turtle is unsafe, and at the end the turtle dies and the kids chop it up.

Just what the hobby needs people spewing a lot of mis-information!
