Hibernating in NC

How should I hibernate(burmate) my 3 palm sized (maybe a bit smaller) RES. Any and all info would be good. theyre outside now, so its an outside situiation.

This is a question none here seems to know. But I've read up on it, and as far as I know, they don't need anything but aeration, although if temps get below freezing there, it might be good to put some debris in there like leaves and some muck. Aeration's for in case it freezes over too much.
