What is this ???????

coluber Oct 28, 2007 12:10 PM

Hi All
bought this little guy 2 days ago here in the U.K. advertised as Coluber constrictor flaviventris (yellow bellied racer)...I'm fairly certain it is NOT this species!!!
I think that I have Andersons whipsnake here...coluber rogersi...from the middle east/N.Africa.
Can I have your opinions please???

best wishes Paul

Could be a Coluber florulentus.

Do you have a better picture?

I'll get some better ones up soon...just a few shots I took this afternoon!

I still agree with myself.
Coluber florulentus.

There were some for sale in Houten. (They sold them as C. rogersi, and the C. rogersi as C. florulentus)

Yo,

That would be the Anderson's Whipsnake, or Roger's Racer(Coluber or Platyceps rogersi). All the info about them is in my site, www.greenpinemuseum.com.

Thanks Paul!

It is a work in progress! With college taking most of my time, it is hard to get this site finished. One day, it will be finished.
