dlaxplayer4691 Nov 01, 2007 07:42 PM

Hi, i have a columbian gold tegu, and hes doing great. I have a reptisun 10.0 bulb on him for 12 hours a day. I was just wondering if i could give him anything to help increase his colorfulness. Any help would be great.
Cheers

P.S. (Why do all the people say this?) lol

there are a few things that on the market but none are proven to work. The best way to brighten up the colors is with a brighter UV bulb, the 10.0 is a dull light vs one of the brighter mercury bulb active UV lights.

The very best Mercury UV bulbs are called Mega Ray and are available from ReptileUV's website. I used to use Powersun by Zoo-Med, but they don't even compare to the bright colors you will see if you use a Mega Ray. They have 100 and 160 W, self-ballasted or externally ballasted.
