Mike,
How are you resizing them? Something about your workflow could be to blame.
Also, what do you mean by the photos being "distorted"? Do you mean the shape changes or are you saying they aren't a sharp (clearly focused)?

Hi Cris and thanks for your help..
In order to resize my pics i have tried changin the setting in my camera... so no editing is needed
i also reset my camera and took pics that need to be resized in order to uploade here in K/S and i resize them using the edit function and changeing the % of the photos..
The pics in my last post are crystal clear on my computer and even look good in my photo gallery if you click on them to view them larger you will see what i mean.... you can find them under kingsnakes then look under alterna.. but, when i upload them into a post they look kinda crappy???

That's the problem. The KS.com photo resizing algorithm is not very flattering to photos. So it took this photo -
https://gallery.kingsnake.com/data/101091Hueco_Mb1.jpg

and made it into this -
http://gallery.kingsnake.com/data/101091Hueco_Mb1-med.jpg

The way to get past this is to always reduce the photos yourself and sharpen them only after they reach their final size. Then upload them to KS and they won't be resized.
When you post a pic on KS, watch for the sneaky -med text being added to your picture name. That means it is being resized. Remove that text and you will see them as you intended.

First off thanks for your help and patients!!
So we are getting there... one last question (hopefully)
How/where do i take out the "-Med"??
When i upload the photos its not there... but, once they are in my photo gallery the "-med" appears???
~ Mike
The way to do it is to not use the Photo selection list from below the message box.
Just cut and paste full message URL inside a set of img tags (within square brackets). Click Tools and Toys below the message entry box to see how to do that.
The -med is attached to the URL by KS.com to reduce the image size if you use the Image URL or Photo selection box.
